Hey there everyone. Welcome back! This week I’m going to be taking a quick look at Mega Man Legacy Collection. This collection has the first six Mega Man games from the NES. So, let’s get right to it. More
Hey guys. I didn’t want to keep missing weeks, so I wanted to do a quick column on Overwatch’s Summer Games update which was sent out yesterday. But first, a bit of housekeeping. As I mentioned on my Twitter, I won’t be doing No Man’s Sky like I previously planned. No, it isn’t because of the leaks, but rather because I just don’t like controlling space craft in video games. I don’t know why I allowed myself to get hyped by No Man’s Sky, when most of the game is flying through space. But I did, and I’m glad I came to my senses before the game came out.
So now GameFly sent me the Mega Man Legacy Collection for PS4, so I’ll be giving that a go hopefully next week. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens may be after that. I don’t know for sure. No idea how much space ship battles are in that one. The trailer for the game on GameFly shows some space ship battles, and that worries me. But I liked the first LEGO Star Wars game, and I have high hopes for the latest one.
Anyway, Overwatch. More
Hey guys, I’m back! Sorry for the two week absence. I’ve been dealing with some personal issues that have gotten worse over the past several weeks and I’m trying to get that stuff sorted out, but I didn’t want to go the whole month without something. I hate to do another Ramblings Update post, but I don’t have any other ideas at the moment. Some stuff I’m going to talk about will be new, though, so there’s that, at least. Let’s get on with it. Hey guys, welcome back! Last week Mighty No. 9 was finally released. Almost three years in development and three delays, it’s finally here. I was a backer of the Kickstarter, and I covered the backer-only trial last September. Now I have the final game on the PS4, and I played through the main story mode. Was it worth the wait? More
Hey guys. I know I was supposed to review Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst this week. Well, I got the game from Gamefly, I played it a bit, and I just didn’t feel like playing it any more. It just didn’t click with me. I can’t put my finger on it, but I really have nothing good or bad to say about it. It’s just, meh. So instead, I thought I’d write out my top ten games of E3 2016. A list of the games that were either announced or shown in press conferences or on gaming media sites during the event that have me really anticipating them. So without further ado, onto the games. Welcome back everyone! It’s day two of E3 2016 press conferences. Today we had Microsoft, Ubisoft, and Sony. Whew. That’s a lot. Remember these are my personal thoughts on the content of each show. So my take may be very different from yours. I suggest you watch the shows yourself on Twitch or YouTube when the VODs go up if you didn’t watch them live. Anyway, let’s get started! More
Hey everyone, welcome back to Geekdom101.com, and to my E3 2016 coverage. Here on day one we have Electronic Arts and Bethesda press conferences. I’m going to give my thoughts on each, so let’s get started. More
Greetings all, it’s that time of year again. E3 2016 kicks off this coming Sunday! Well, the show floor doesn’t open until Tuesday, but the press conferences start on Sunday, and that’s what really counts. Those are where the good stuff is announced. So for this week’s column, I wanted to write up a little preview of E3 2016, including what I expect to see announced and what I hope to see announced. Ready? Let’s go! More
Back in March, when I didn’t have anything to really write about, I did an “Updates” column. Since I find myself in a similar situation now, I figure I’d make this a semi-regular part of Ramblings. I have some things I wanted to say about Overwatch, and a few other topics. If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you know I’ve mentioned Overwatch more than a few times. But I swear, that’s not all I’m going to talk about today. So let’s get on with it. More
Hey guys, welcome back! It’s time for another edition of Ramblings, with me, Brandon Myers. This week I’m going to take a look at Super Mario World, the game that lost the poll I did a couple weeks ago. Why review the losing option? Because I wanted to. So let’s get started. More
