All of the ripped ticket stubs – all of money spent on concessions – all of my movie reviews – have lead up to THIS – the one night that recognizes the best in film of the past year – the Academy Awards.
As I did last year (in my “Epitome of Randomness” section of Issue #9 of The Wide World of Sports-Entertainment), I will be previewing tomorrow night’s (or tonight’s, depending on what time you’re reading this) ceremony by breaking down the 6 major awards categories (Best Picture, Best Director, and the 4 Acting Awards) and giving my predictions for each one. Do I expect the Academy to throw a few swerves this year? Possibly – in a couple of categories – but for more on that, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and click on the link below to check out my OFFICIAL OSCAR PREVIEW.
SportsGuy here, back with more movie reviews as I wrap up the Best Picture Oscar nominees tonight, starting with The Fighter, directed by David O. Russell, and starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Melissa Leo.
