I haven’t been to my local arthouse theatre in maybe about a year or so. But it certainly felt great to be back there today to take my first of what looks to be a big summer for indie films (who says the blockbusters get to have all the fun?). And I couldn’t have picked a better place to start than Woody Allen’s latest film – a film being dubbed “the indie hit of the year” – Midnight in Paris, starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Michael Sheen, and Carla Bruni. Was it really worth ALL that hype? Click the link and find out!
Just got home after a great day with friends and family (and just in time to see the New York Jets advance in the NFL playoffs). However, today’s movie was probably the LOW point of the entire day, which is why this review will be short and sweet. What movie was it? James L. Brooks’ newest foray into the rom-com realm – How Do You Know.
Two movie reviews in one week? On a work week? Hahaha – I guess you can simply count yourselves lucky that the people in my life (a.k.a. my friends) have been in the mood to go to the movies. I mean, during the winter months, going to the movies always makes for an awesome night on the town, wouldn’t you agree? And I’m not even done this week – I have plans to go back tomorrow afternoon (which I’ll get into later). But for now, sit back and enjoy my review of…Little Fockers!
