Logan’s Movie Reviews: Fresh, 1994 — Movie Review w/1Silva

Fresh, 1994, written and directed by Boaz Yakin in his film directorial debut, and produced by Lawrence Bender.

An emotional coming of age story, it offers a realistic glimpse of the dangerous life in New York City’s projects during the crack epidemic.
Michael, nicknamed Fresh (portrayed by Sean Nelson), is a 12-year old kid running drugs for gangsters, notably Esteban (Giancarlo Esposito). Inspired by the chess lessons of his father, an alcoholic speed-chess master (Samuel L. Jackson), Fresh devises and executes a brilliant plan to extricate himself and his drug-addicted sister (N’Bushe Wright) from their hopeless lives.

Review – The Avengers (2012)

With Adolfo being swamped at work for the week, he actually wrote me up and asked if I still wanted to do my Avengers review, like I suggested in the latest episode of FORCED PERSPECTIVE. Having realized that I still haven’t been able to get to my promised-review for The Five Year Engagement, I said, “sure, why not.” And, alas, here I am.

Haven’t seen The Avengers yet? Want the scoop on the biggest film of the year (so far)? Then look no further as I, SportsGuy515, give you the full Avengers-experience in this review. Featuring a star-studded cast which includes Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as The Incredible Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, directed by Joss Whedon, this is The Avengers.
